At Unreasonable, we believe high-growth for-profit solutions are one of the most effective and scalable ways to solve pressing social and environmental challenges. Every day, our team strives to give the entrepreneurs we work with an “unfair advantage.” We do this by connecting them with our networks of mentors, investors, business leaders, and policy makers who can help them scale their businesses faster and more effectively. Today, the over 200 CEO’s in the Unreasonable Fellowship have raised more than $4.5B in financing, generated more than $3.5B in revenue, and are measurably impacting the lives of more than 530 million individuals in nearly every country and territory worldwide.

We’re now searching for an Investor Relations Manager to be a leader in member recruitment for our private investor club, Unreasonable Collective. The Manager will be focused on executing the end to end recruitment process of Unreasonable Collective - sourcing, screening, pitching and closing of new members into the investor club. This role is all about focus and execution. We are looking for a strong investment sales team member that is headstrong on growing the Unreasonable Collective’s membership base and ensuring we have the capital necessary to provide valuable syndicate investments to our ventures so that they can scale in order to have an extraordinary impact on the world.

Strategic Objectives

  • Execute across all four phases of member recruitment (sourcing, screening, pitching, and closing) to build the membership base of Unreasonable’s private investor community, the Unreasonable Collective.

  • Serve as a key sales team member, bringing in the ideal members that will ensure the Unreasonable Collective meets annual goals.

  • Build and actively pursue a pipeline, including but not limited to:

    • Identifying individuals and institutions that would benefit from the Unreasonable Collective, and that believe in the power of business for positive change

    • Proactively approaching and building relationships with individuals and institutions

    • Methodically pursuing and winning opportunities

    • Leveraging our broader Unreasonable community to grow the Collective membership base with values-aligned people who are already connected to us (i.e. Mentors, Partners etc…)

Key Components of the Member Recruitment Process

  • SOURCING through identifying new external prospects, with a focus on HNWIs, Family Offices and Multi Family Offices, and relevant Institutional Investors, as well as attracting current Unreasonable community members (i.e. mentors, fellows, and investors).

  • SCREENING by assessing the vitality of the potential member and their alignment with the values and mission of the organization with a strong focus on diversity, inclusion and global identity;

  • PITCHING the value of the Collective to each potential member, capturing the return on investment potential and the possible impact for the investor and the ventures we support;

  • CLOSING the potential members and converting their interest into paying Community Members.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with the Director of Investor Relations and MD of Investments, develop, document, and continually evolve a strategy for Collective Member recruitment across inbound, outbound, and referral pipelines

  • Maintain meticulous documentation of the sales pipeline. Prepare and share weekly status reports with the Director of Investor Relations and MD of Investments on membership pipeline developments and conversion rates

  • Build and maintain a pipeline and robust sales funnel to ensure the Unreasonable Collective meets annual goals.

  • Support in the development of Investor Relations promotional materials, pitch decks, and proposals in accordance with Unreasonable’s brand guidelines

  • Support the broader Collective team and wider Unreasonable group.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR....

  • You are organized, analytical and curious

  • You bring an existing network of HNWIs, Family Offices and Institutional Investors, and/or bring experience of Investor Relations, Finance, and/or Venture Capital Investing
