Earthshot Ventures is a climate-focused venture fund that spun out of Elemental Excelerator in 2021.

We invest in both hardware and software companies from Seed through Series B, and supercharge their growth by plugging them into our global network of customers, investors, and policymakers.

Prior to Earthshot Ventures, our team has collectively invested in over 150 companies and celebrated more than 25 exits. We have deep experience working alongside entrepreneurs as they deploy technology with customers, and transform industries.

About Earthshot Ventures’ Senior Analyst Role

We are looking for a dynamic person with strong interpersonal skills, combined with an operational mindset. This individual will enjoy meeting new people, taking on new projects, and using curiosity to discover the best climate tech startups on the planet.

The Senior Analyst at Earthshot Ventures will help us research companies and sectors of interest, build trust and mutual value with dealflow partners, continue to develop our data-driven deal funnel as a competitive differentiator, develop a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) plan for sourcing, and take initial meetings with entrepreneurs. They will also support the due diligence process by evaluating market size and competitive landscape, conducting reference calls, and developing investment memos.

As a small entrepreneurial team, there are a range of other operational opportunities available such as measuring our climate and DEI impact, supporting the transaction process, optimizing our digital tools, and adding value to our portfolio.

• Professional written communications skills that exemplify Earthshot Ventures’ values 
• Ability to manage projects independently and manage them through to completion
• Coachable - open to giving and receiving feedback
• Eager to learn and tackle new challenges and embrace change
• A strong proven interest in technology, startups, and innovation
• Comfortable working as part of a small, high-achieving team 
• 2-5 years of work experience 
• Connection to the mission: personal passion and commitment around climate change mitigation and decarbonization

Bonus Qualifications:

• Experience working in one or more of our technology focus areas: energy, mobility, food & agriculture, industry, and carbon 
• Experience working in VC
• Technical background
• Expertise in data analytics, as well as working with Airtable and/or CRM systems
• Experience leading a sales funnel process
• Delightful to work with

Other Details:

We have a preference for candidates in the Bay Area (CA) or Honolulu (HI). Remote candidates will also be considered.
