Powerhouse is hiring a Head of Business Development to lead our sales strategy, develop a robust client pipeline, and deliver top-line revenue.
Business Development Strategy & Execution
Lead Powerhouse’s business development strategy and execution, from identifying key leads to closing new contracts
Serve as the point of accountability for achieving sales goals and top-line revenue at Powerhouse
Build a robust sales pipeline and engage with key stakeholders across the energy, mobility, and climate landscape
Attract, develop, and retain outstanding talent to build out Powerhouse’s business development team
Engage with potential clients to identify key opportunities for innovation and decarbonization in collaboration with the Vice President of Strategy and Director of Partnerships
Leverage industry expertise to inform client development and deliverables
Conduct competitive analysis and evaluate market to improve product and sales strategy
Business Development Processes & Materials
Manage our business development process and internal data systems, with support from the Director of Partnerships
Support the development of sales materials and tailor materials to each prospective client
Collaborate with the Marketing & Operations Associate to leverage Powerhouse’s marketing channels for business development
Product Refinement
Work with existing clients to identify opportunities to expand upon Powerhouse services in collaboration with the Vice President and Director of Partnerships
6-10+ years of relevant business development experience, including building business development functions and teams from the ground up
Experience leading enterprise business development with global energy and/or mobility companies, tech companies, and utilities
Demonstrated experience building a sales pipeline, pitching to prospective clients, and exceeding enterprise sales goals
Experience attracting, developing, and retaining top business development talent
Proven ability to identify and work with key decision makers within large and complex organizations
Strong understanding of key corporate pain points in innovation and decarbonization
Familiarity with the clean energy and mobility technology landscape
Empathy for our clients and prospective clients and a drive to help them decarbonize their businesses
Strong strategic, analytical and critical thinking skills and willingness to dive into the details and navigate through ambiguity
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Thrive in a fast-paced environment with limited support staff and a small but highly effective team
