Position Overview:

The Commercial Strategy Manager will work on strategic initiatives for the commercial and business development organizations, across geographies and businesses, as we scale our organization to meet our ambitious objectives. In this role, you will immerse yourself in problem solving, data analytics, and uncovering market insights to help us develop solutions that drive our company forward. Candidates must be able to work across functions and stakeholders and thrive in a fast-paced environment while balancing multiple projects. You will be tasked with helping to develop and execute Invaio’s commercial strategy and can expect regular interaction with Invaio’s Chief Commercial Officer, Regional Commercial Leads, and other senior leaders in the company. Stretch and growth opportunities are built into this role given the expected growth of Invaio Sciences and the commercial team. As we grow, the Commercial Strategy Manager position may lead to other roles depending on Invaio’s needs and the candidate’s development interests.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Execute key initiatives as identified by the Chief Commercial Officer and Commercial Leads
  • Perform detailed market assessment analyses and develop recommendations for market entry, including identification of value capture opportunities and priority customers or partners
  • Support pipeline prioritization by providing value creation estimates and commercial insights
  • Help define strategic roadmaps for Invaio’s technologies, from development to commercialization, and work cross-functionally to coordinate buy-in across the organization
  • Analyze and assess potential strategic or technology partnerships, sourcing agreements, and acquisitions, including financial modeling and building business cases

Qualifications (Requirements):

  • Excellent analytical capabilities and financial modeling skills/experience
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including storyline and slide creation
  • Self-starter who takes ownership and can work with little guidance
  • Learning agility to adapt to requirements needed to complete projects.
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize and manage ambiguity on multiple workstreams

Experience & Credentials:

  • Top tier consulting, strategy/business development, banking, and/or private equity experience
  • 2+ years of work experience
  • Ability to both lead projects on own and contribute to broader, multi-stakeholder initiatives
  • Team player with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Ability to build strong relationships through trust, empathy, and respect for others
  • Strong interest in Invaio’s mission to make agriculture sustainable; prior experience in the agriculture industry is not required
