Job Description

• Forum Mobility is looking for a candidate that has a background in project finance, with preference for candidates that have experience in power infrastructure, banking, and/or private equity.

• This role will report to the Vice President of Finance and will have direct, frequent contact with the CEO.

Responsibilities

Evaluate Development Projects

• The candidate will become intimately familiar with our development projects by working closely with our Development and Origination Teams to run scenarios to see their economic impact on the project.

Financial Modeling

• The candidate and VP of Finance will work together to reduce the cost of capital by placing debt and tax equity on projects. The candidate will be in charge of modeling leverage scenarios and assisting in the processes to place such instruments.

Deployment of Capital

• As development projects meet various milestones, the candidate will manage the drawdowns of capital. This will require careful tracking of development milestones and scenario analysis to analyze impacts of delays, cost overruns, etc.

Budgeting

• The candidate will help the VP of Finance to track and manage corporate cash spend. They will work together to gather and consolidate budgets from the various groups within the organization to view overall corporate cash runway.

Equity Investment Tracking and Covenants

• The candidate will work with the VP of Finance to prepare necessary financial covenants pursuant to our financings; track the IRR of development and operating assets; and prepare calculation of distributions.

Key Metrics Tracking

• The candidate and VP of Finance will work together to put in place metrics to track corporate cash runway and profitability of assets to be reviewed with CEO on a recurring basis.

Leadership

• Grow our Finance practice as we grow to develop a second-to-none, electric trucking organization.

Requirements

Candidates should have prior professional finance experience, with a preference for candidates that also have experience in project finance, investment banking, or private equity. Further preference is given to candidates that have experience with power infrastructure. Expertise in excel is a requirement. The position will be a hybrid remote / in-person, with the expectation that the candidate comes into the Oakland, CA office 2 times per week.
