Role Description:

The Project Engineering team within the Commercial Operations group at Form will be instrumental in the deployment, commissioning, and operations of Form's projects and products and will be invaluable in scaling our technology in the market.

 

Form Energy is hiring an experienced Senior Construction Manager to manage the deployment and construction of projects utilizing Form’s multi-day storage product. As part of the Project Engineering team, you will lead project execution and construction in collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams. You will also work closely with consultants, vendors, suppliers, and contractors to deliver projects to Form’s customers. This role will require frequent travel to our project sites as well as to our company locations (Somerville, MA, Berkeley, CA, and the greater Pittsburgh, PA  area).

 

What You'll Do:

  • Oversee and direct construction projects from conception through commercial operation 

  • Be responsible for construction site safety during and throughout project execution

  • Manage project sites coordinating all deliveries and sequencing of construction activities 

  • Manage contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure that project scopes, schedules and quality standards are met

  • Prepare, manage, and track detailed project cost estimates, budgets, and schedules

  • Define and set up processes for construction documentation, including RFIs, logs, punch lists, etc.

  • Ensure that all onsite work complies with regulatory requirements, codes and standards, best practices, and other contractual requirements 

 

What You'll Bring:

  • 8+ years of experience in commercial/industrial construction or construction management, including 3+ years in renewable energy or energy storage projects. EPC experience is a plus. 

  • Expert knowledge of construction management processes means and methods, including construction management software tools 

  • Resourceful and collaborative team player capable of working effectively with multiple cross-functional teams and external stakeholders in a fast-paced startup environment

  • High attention to detail, excellent project management skills and verbal communication

  • Ability to travel and manage remote project sites 

  • General Contractor license in CO or GA and willingness to apply for license in multiple states  

  • Valid Driver’s license in good standing
