Shifted Energy is a distributed energy resource software company which supports utilities and consumers through the deployment of low-cost control systems and monitoring, machine learning-based data analytics, aggregation, and dispatch optimization software. Our software platform converts fleets of residential assets into smart, flexible distributed energy resources capable of providing multiple grid services without sacrificing customer comfort.

Responsibilities

Client Development and Sales (40%)

  • Identify and engage key stakeholders and potential customer/partners including utilities, energy program implementers, DER and DERMS providers, property managers, and distributors
  • Coordinate and lead business development, technical product demonstrations, and relationship building conversations
  • Qualify leads, generate customer profiles and contact lists, and define appropriate product offering
  • Research and work with the product team to create new technical solutions for potential clients
  • Demonstrate Shifted Energy’s full value proposition through effective new partner onboarding and implementation processes
  • Ensure all contract deliverables are implemented in adherence with key customer expectations, terms and conditions

Project and Customer Relationship Management (40%)

  • Manage and grow existing client relationships across utility, program implementation, provider, and property manager spaces
  • Provide prompt responses to customer support inquiries and escalate any service or technical issues accordingly
  • Organize and facilitate ongoing progress meetings and communicationImplement and utilize tracking tools/systems designed to identify and capture product development opportunities and maximize revenue
  • Advise broaderteamon customer feedback trends, new market trends and competitive intelligence
  • Assist in the discovery/needs analysis to understand challenges and goals and better differentiate Shifted Energy in the sales process

Partner Renewals and Proposal Development Support (20%)

  • Support the production and delivery of proposals, qualification packages and marketing materials for RFPs and client requests
  • Work cross functionally with business development and technical teams on product improvements and renewals discussions
  • Identify new funding opportunities, while tracking progress, deadlines and outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in solutions engineering, account management, and/or sales
  • Consultative customer relationship approach, with exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong organizational, written communication and project management skills
  • Ability to build trusting relationships and honor customer commitments

Extras

  • Experience with configuring CRMs
  • Early-stage startup experience
  • Proficiency with data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting
