Where we are today
We’ve inked our inaugural client deals and are expanding our operations at full throttle. As the Business Development Manager, you'll lead the org responsible for serving these clients, acquiring fresh partnerships, and implementing systems to drive exponential growth in both areas.
 
Your impact as the Business Development Manager
We work with a wide variety of client stakeholders—not only renewable energy project developers, but also corporate tax, treasury, and net-zero departments, investment funds, brokers, and more. You’ll work closely with our clients at every stage - manage warm and cold outreach to prospects, nurture them to become partners, and tailor our products to meet their needs.
 
You will be directly responsible for:
          Client development: Own and manage entire sales cycle from sourcing meetings, to facilitating business presentations with key stakeholders, pricing negotiations, procurement, security, and legal review
          Lead generation: Conceiving and executing strategies to land initial meetings with prospective clients
          Modeling: Building client-facing financial models of renewable energy projects and investment products
          Creation: Drive results through influence and to convey complex concepts
          Strategy: Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
          Transactions: Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines
          Problem-solving: Partnering cross-functionally to create efficiencies that support Evergrow’s growth engine
          Learning: Conducting research to identify new markets and customer needs
 
We’re looking for someone who
          Embodies our values and passions about solving the climate crisis
          Has 4-6 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, project finance, or renewable energy project development as a business development manager, sales executive or relevant role
          Holds a track record for driving sales and scaling business in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment with high levels of ambiguity and where the business is constantly evolving
          Has a willingness to roll up their sleeves and put the needs of the team above their own
          Is able to collaborate in person in San Francisco three days per week
          [Bonus] Has experience & networks within renewable energy, tax credits, alternative investments, net-zero strategy, or carbon capture
