ClearTrace is seeking a Sales Associate to support Sales activities during a critical inflection point in the company’s growth. This position will report directly to the Director of Sales and work exclusively to support the sales organization in any capacity required to maintain the sales pipeline and close deals.


  • 2+ years of relevant experience: SDR, Customer Success/Service, Business Development, Direct Sales, Account Management
    • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
  • Passion for at least one of the following areas:
    • Renewable Energy
    • Energy Markets
    • Sustainability/ESG
    • FinTech/Blockchain
    • Real Estate/PropTech
  • Experience utilizing sales tools such as Salesforce or HubSpot
    • Conceptual understanding of systems architecture in lieu of experience
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills working with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Preferred software sales experience; start up experience a plus


  • Research and prioritize broad market of Energy Consumers and Energy Suppliers for qualified prospects
  • Outreach directly to qualified prospects via cold-calls, text, emails, integrated marketing campaigns, LinkedIn campaigns and other methods
  • Work closely with Director of Sales and other key stakeholders to develop successful prospecting strategies
  • Keep abreast of market movement/trends, competition, regulation, and general movement within the industry
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to create new processes and refine existing processes
  • Analyze addressable market and support customer segmentation process
  • Maintain contacts and notes within CRM, support creation of reporting dashboards and quarterly strategy
  • Maintain sales processes and resources in sales organization wiki page
  • Maintain outreach for sales team after first touch
  • Hold regular meetings for sales team to go over deal board and weekly objectives
  • Establish a strong understanding of the ClearTrace solution and your target market to position yourself as a subject matter expert
  • Maintain ability to run pitches/demos with an understanding of different client related needs and value proposition
