Position Summary:

The Origination Team is responsible for driving the growth of Forum Mobility through charging depots and vehicle sales and obtaining the various incentives, grants and other funds available to zero-emission vehicles and infrastructure. Forum Mobility is seeking an exceptional individual to manage the incentives, grants and related funding opportunities that are necessary to rapidly scale the heavy-duty zero-emission vehicle and infrastructure industry. The position will report to the Vice President of Origination and be responsible for all aspects of securing grants, and incentives, responding to requests for information/proposals and other related needs and opportunities. The workload includes researching, monitoring, tracking, assessing, and coordinating grant and incentive activities. This role will collaborate with the Sales, Development, Finance, Strategy and Engineering teams and have broad exposure to the Forum Mobility’s business as well as the zero-emission transportation industry.

 

The ideal candidates must have extremely proficient writing skills, great attention to detail, efficient organizational management and an eye and drive for high-quality work products. The candidate must possess a motivated attitude that is open to the challenges of a small company in growth-mode and in a burgeoning industry. Candidates with transportation and/or energy industry experience are preferred. The position will be located in the Bay Area, within regular commuting proximity to the Forum Mobility office in downtown Oakland, CA. Forum Mobility is currently operating under a hybrid work policy with employees expected in the office during certain but not all days of the week.

 

Essential Functions:

    • Work with local, regional, state and federal entities to obtain grants, incentives, and related funding opportunities in the heavy-duty electrification space.
    • Responsible for the development, coordination, and response of grants, incentives, requests for information/proposals and related opportunities.
    • Collaborate with Forum customers, partners, industry representatives and government organizations on grants, incentives, and related funding opportunities.
    • Maintain file management for grants, incentives, requests for information/proposals and related funding opportunities.
    • Managing post-award reporting requirements

 

Qualifications & Skills:

    • 3+ years of grants, incentives, origination, or related funding opportunity experience preferred.
    • Ability to succinctly communicate complicated topics.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
    • Ability to take initiative while also being a strong team player.
    • Hungry and independent problem-solver skills.
    • Excellent verbal and business writing communication skills.
    • Transportation and/or Energy industry knowledge a plus.
    • Commercial mind-set a plus.
