At Conduit Tech, we’re focused on the 10% of all GHG emissions that derive from residential HVAC use. Conduit’s focused on enabling the clean energy workforce - starting with software tools for HVAC pros. Supporting contractors and homeowners through design, sales and implementation, Conduit will help mitigate grid strain, reduce home energy use and enhance home comfort.

Role Description

As our first iOS developer, you will play a critical technical role within an early stage climate tech startup. You love to code, seek challenging problems, and crave a massive impact. You will be working on cutting edge technology that will provide critical insights to home construction and retrofitting processes across the globe, and you thrive in designing and building for usability and experience. Your work will contribute to minimizing home energy use, mitigating electrical grid strain, and maximizing value to homeowners and HVAC contractors.

What you’ll do

• Take ownership over iOS development, driving early stage MVPs to test and iterate 

• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application

• Translate designs, wireframes, and business rules into high-quality code

• Create simple yet powerful external interfaces for our contractor customers

You will thrive if you:

• Enjoy being the subject matter expert and running projects 

• Expertise in Swift or Objective C

• Familiarity with or interest in Python and JavaScript

• Strong ability to manage time and quickly shifting priorities

• 5+ years experience building and shipping scalable applications; 2+ years’ work experience developing applications for both iPhone & iPad

• Strong knowledge of iOS UI design principles, patterns, and best practices

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Experience participating in the architecture and design of new and existing products

• Experience with Scrum or other Agile software development methodologies

• A passion for making an impact on climate change

• Take pride in tackling unknown problems and finding solutions.
