gener8tor seeks a Managing Director to lead the U.S. Venture Accelerator based in Appleton, WI. 

U.S. Venture’s purpose of finding a better way is at the heart of their company culture. With a vision to be the very best provider of transportation products, sustainability solutions, and insights driving the world forward, the U.S. Venture Sustainability Accelerator program will mirror this foundation by investing $100K into five sustainability- and mobility-related startups to provide a mentorship-based, concierge-service programming needed to experience growth and acquisition.

Responsibilities

• Recruit startup applicants and lead the due diligence and selection process for one annual U.S. Venture Sustainability Accelerator cohort.
• Act as the lead mentor for, and continuously support cohort participants.
• Plan logistics, engage with the network, execute the accelerator programs and other related activities.
• Coordinate and collaborate with gener8tor staff and external partners.
• Collaborate with other members of the gener8tor team.
• Assist alumni with ongoing mentor, sponsor and investor relations following the program.
• Be the #1 cheerleader for the startups and entrepreneurs we work with.

Requirements

• Entrepreneurial spirit and a self-starter. Experience as a founder, employee in a venture backed company or in venture capital recommended. 
• Total devotion to Appleton and the Fox Valley ecosystem.
• Collaborative, team-based mindset. You will be working closely with other Managing Directors, founders and our partners. 
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly independent environment and juggle multiple ongoing projects, responsibilities and external relationships.
• Willingness to intensively and rapidly dive deeper into the startup and venture capital as well as mobility- and sustainability-related communities even if already familiar. 
• Flexibility to travel up to 25%, work some nights and weekends.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills. 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A “no job is beneath me” mentality.
• Commitment to equity across race, place and gender.
