What you’ll do: 

As a Director/Associate Director of Investment Operations, you’ll work very closely with other members of the Investment, Product and Engineering teams to refine, enhance and build the best-in-class passive public equities and multi-asset investment trading platform.

  • Manage the end-to-end daily trade flow: custodial integration, pre-trade/trade/post-trade implementation, documentation, execution, reconciliation and monitoring
  • Facilitate strategic vendor integration (e.g. portfolio accounting, OMS) and implementation in partnership with product managers, engineering, SMEs and other key internal and external stakeholders
  • Identifying gaps and provide actionable insights in our current investment operations system regarding ways to reduce risk and/or improve efficiency
  • Develop and manage relationships with custodians, brokers, portfolio accounting platform, and other service providers
  • Collaborate with Client Relationship Managers and Portfolio Managers to optimize cross-functional workflows that provide best-in-class client service
  • Manage electronic proxy voting on behalf of our clients
  • Support and respond to ad hoc client inquiries on life cycle events - transitions, custodian change, etc.
  • Proactively monitor Compliance and Investment Operational policies and controls for consistent team alignment and client experience
  • Provide subject matter expertise to the company’s product lifecycle and development processes

What you’ll offer: 

  • 10 years of relevant experience, preferably financial operations risk and control experience with a registered broker dealer or asset manager
  • Deep understanding of end-to-end trade flows
  • Deep understanding of account setups, types, restrictions
  • Knowledge and exposure to Custodians, TAMP, Broker Dealers, Financial Advisors and Institutional Clients
  • Demonstrated ability to define, refine, implement and monitor business processes, procedures, and policies
  • Consistent track record of implementing strategic deliverables
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to explain complex concepts to a variety of collaborators
  • SQL skills, Excel analytics, data visualization experience preferred
  • Experience of leading data-driven analyses preferred

Compensation & Benefits: 

Compensation at Ethic is a combination of base salary, equity (stock options) in the company, and benefits. 

The base salary will range from $150,000 - $185,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
