We’ve developed accessible, low-cost solutions to native forest restoration, including off-grid seed banks to store millions of seeds anywhere, open-source software to measure tree health and growth, and accessible forestry training programs. Location: United States, Remote
Salary range: $90,000 - $120,000, plus equity (depending on location and experience)
Job Mission
Terraformation’s mission is to restore the planet’s forests to reduce the impacts of climate change and build thriving communities. The Marketing and Communications team helps spread the word about the power of forests to mitigate climate change, build Terraformation’s brand visibility, and attract and retain customers. The Digital Marketing team manages Terraformation’s digital presence and provides data-driven insights to the company to improve the strategy and execution of all marketing-led initiatives.
The Demand Generation Manager reports to the Head of Digital Marketing. They will be responsible for driving MQLs to fuel the sales pipeline for our carbon and finance products. As an agile marketing team, all team members also take on other responsibilities, including coordination and admin.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute creative demand gen campaigns (40%):
- In coordination with the Head of Digital Marketing and VP of Marketing, you’ll help develop creative campaigns for driving inbound leads for our carbon products using a variety of tactics including webinars, events, paid media, channel marketing, and content promotion.
- You’ll own the end-to-end execution of these campaigns, implementing, monitoring, and optimizing output to produce new and nurtured leads for accelerator funders and carbon credit sales.
- CRM management and analysis (30%):
- Lead management: Update and maintain HubSpot data to track campaign performance and MQLs, implement a lead scoring system to prioritize leads for the sales team, and regularly collaborate with the sales team on leads and progress.
- Marketing automation: Utilize automated content tools in HubSpot to nurture leads.
- Optimize efficiencies: Apply KPIs, analytics, and insights to create better audience segments, target, and re-target prospects; drive continual optimization of campaign performance.
- Content strategy and development (30%):
- Help define a targeted content strategy to raise awareness of Terraformation among carbon buyers and forestry organizations and generate sales leads.
- Collaborate across teams to execute this strategy, developing content to test on a variety of channels in multiple formats.
Minimum Qualifications
- 4+ years demonstrated experience in B2B demand generation strategies.
- Experience with cross-functional collaboration and building positive relationships with functions like Sales, Customer Success, Science, Product, and marketing teams at partner organizations.
- Proven success at campaign planning across owned, earned, and paid channels with emphasis on webinars, paid media, channel marketing, CRM marketing automation (HubSpot preferred), and content promotion.
- Ability to analyze marketing data and translate into insights, score leads, track campaign performance, optimize lifecycle stages, and report on key metrics.
- Strong content writing skills.
- A deep passion for nature and a desire to help humanity strengthen Earth’s natural systems to overcome our climate change emergency.
