About You:

99 Counties is looking for Frontend Engineers to build out the customer and farmer-facing experiences. This platform will support the complete online storefront and connect back to novel traceability tools and core supply chain forecasting. As a Frontend Engineer you’ll interface closely with Product and Farm Operations teams to ensure we're building the right tools to serve our farmers and customers.

We are a small and fast growing company where no two days are the same and opportunity for growth abounds. Within the Engineering team we believe strongly in promoting from within.

As we are also a very new company, there are no legacy codebases to inherit and we’ll have a great opportunity to set a course doing things “the right way.” This is a chance to create the kind of application you’ll actually want to work on

What You’ll Do:

• Design, implement, test, and continuously improve the frontend application(s) for each side of our business.
• Collaborate with Design and Product to ensure successful interactions and a consistent experience across all the ways customers engage with our company.
• Collaborate with the Farm Ambassadors and Fulfillment Operations teams to ensure the tools work well for them to operate efficiently.
• Be a kind and constructive team member.

Key Projects You'll Work On:

• Customer storefront application
• Farmer Onboarding and Traceability Management application
• Internal tools to be used by Fulfillment Operations and Farm Ambassadors

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

• Meaningful experience building with React, Vue, or a similar JS framework.
• Meaningful experience building Ruby on Rails web applications (or similar framework and willingness to learn).
• Meaningful experience building with a CSS framework (e.g. Bootstrap, Tailwind, or extension languages like Sass or Less).
• Experience with Full Stack development with any of the above technologies. This is a Frontend position, but we are a new team and may each need to flex a bit to support each other.
• Love farms and meat from real animals

Role Requirements:

• Meaningful experience building Ruby on Rails web applications (or similar framework and willingness to learn).
• Meaningful experience building with React or a similar JS framework.
• Meaningful experience building with a CSS framework (e.g. Tailwind).
• Experience with Full Stack development with any of the above technologies. This is a Frontend position, but we are a new team and may each need to flex a bit to support each other.
