We are seeking a talented and driven Associate to join Acre Venture Partners.  We are an early stage climate and food systems focused venture fund based in Santa Monica, CA. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deal sourcing: Identify and evaluate new investment prospects by monitoring industry news and leveraging your knowledge of emerging technologies and market trends
• Conduct due diligence: Research and analyze potential investment opportunities, including market trends, competitive landscapes, financial statements, business models, and valuation metrics
• Investment evaluation: Assist in the preparation of investment memos, financial analysis, and presentation materials for the investment committee
• Portfolio management: Support the monitoring and management of the firm's existing portfolio companies
• External Reporting: support team in creating quarterly, annual and ad hoc reports for our external partners
• Fund operations: support leadership to update and maintain internal operating systems
• Collaborative teamwork: Work closely with the investment team, contributing to discussions and participating in investment decision-making processes
• Networking and relationship building: Build and maintain relationships with entrepreneurs, industry experts, and other venture capital firms 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field
• Demonstrated passion for entrepreneurship, startups, and venture capital, with a keen interest in impact, food systems, and early-stage investing
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proactive and self-motivated individual with the ability to manage multiple tasks
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, as well as independently when required
• 1 - 3 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, consulting, or a related field is strongly preferred but not mandatory
