POSITION SUMMARY
At ZEVV, we are e-charging the future by leading the sustainable transformation of urban infrastructure. To support our effort of growing our fleet of zero emission vending vehicles, network of sustainable commissaries, and entrepreneurship programs, we are looking for someone to join our quickly expanding Corporate Affairs team as a Grants Manager. This individual's primary responsibility will be executing successful grant applications to support the growth of Zevv's business, primarily in New York and California. A successful candidate will have a track record of securing government funding, grants, loans, tax incentives, etc. Given our business, experience in energy, electric vehicles/electric vehicle charging infrastructure, community development and entrepreneurship programs are all pluses, but what is absolutely required is a passion to have a lasting impact on the environment and underserved and overlooked communities.
RESPONSIBILITIES & IMPACT
- Draft winning public funding proposals and supporting documents.
- Help team to identify and track federal, state and other grant opportunities and maintain pipeline that includes these opportunities, deadlines and other relevant information.
- Build out and maintain data room for supporting documents and other materials.
- Stay engaged with and abreast of key market developments in Zevv's target cities.
- Grant compliance and performance reporting.
QUALIFICATIONS & WHO YOU ARE
- Passion for sustainability and environmental justice.
- A minimum of 3+ years of experience in grant writing and project proposal development.
- Self-motivated and independent but also a team player.
- Demonstrated track record of successful grant and funding opportunity writing leading to funding.
- Track record of consistently meeting internal and external deadlines.
- Highly organized and able to track multiple projects at once.
- Detail-oriented, organized, deadline-driven.
- Clear, concise, and compelling writing skills.
- Must possess strong planning, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in clean energy, transportation or environmental justice.
