We have an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Manager of Global Supply Chain for Plant Engineering. You have experience in building and leading all aspects of global supply chain at high-growth companies in area of Chemical, Petrochemical (O&G) or renewable energy and you are looking to apply your skillset at the world's fastest-growing electrolyzer company.

You will be based at our facility in San Carlos, CA, and will report to our SVP of Operations & GSC. Hybrid work is a possibility for an exceptional candidate.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Interface with 3rd party engineering/EPC firms to design medium scale plant and or demo a plant. Recruit and manage a project manager for this position.
  • Develop EH2 Core and BOP Procurement, construction, and fabrication cost roadmap.
  • Own and refine EH2 Core and BOP product cost model.
  • Working with Engineering team, help select best in class fabricators to help deliver EH2 BOP product within budget and exceeding quality expectation.
  • Develop and maintain Global supplier/fabricator database, setup qualification/evaluation processes
  • Establish long term Global strategic sourcing agreements to procure key subsystems.
  • Recruit & lead procurement, subcontract and, inspection, expediting and logistic team.
  • Negotiate and manage construction /skid fabricator subcontract(s), EPC, and 3rd party engineering/procurement contracts.
  • Hire, train and manage procurement resources to execute CAPEX projects.
  • Build expertise to negotiate and manage transportation and import/export brokerage contracts.
  • Help formulate and manage EH2 low-cost manufacturing strategy.
  • Working with engineering teams, be active part in qualification of components and subsystems.
  • Work with EH2 leadership to establish international presence.
  • Help identify and execute towards overall plant optimization balancing between cost, performance, safety.
  • Working with finance team, set up a system for spend analysis and monitoring.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with at least 10 years of experience in Supply chain, Vendor management, EPC & project management in chemical, petrochemical plants, or refineries.
  • You've worn "many many hats" in the business; if a job needs to be done, you'll step in and do it if you are able
  • Experience with gated project management processes
  • Commitment to safety along with proven leadership skills
  • Ability to work with multi-disciplined teams
  • You are self-motivated, collaborative, data -driven, resourceful, adaptable and action oriented
  • Leader who mentors and develops the team. Extremely organized with strong attention to detail

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of Chemical, Petrochemical, or pharma plant EPC
  • Experience working with deeply technical engineering team colleagues
  • Passionate about decarbonization
