The Financial and Operations Analyst will support the Finance and Operations Manager within a small but dynamic and high-growth venture capital firm, in support of their various investment activities.

 

The ideal candidate will have both strong quantitative and written and verbal communication skills. The candidate should be comfortable multi-tasking and working in a fast-paced and high-energy office environment. Candidates should be self-starters, who are comfortable taking independent initiative and proactively setting about their various tasks and responsibilities. Applicants must be prepared to demonstrate a high level of professionalism.

 

Portfolio Management

 

  • Oversee the tracking and evaluation of performance metrics across the portfolio
  • Assist with portfolio company onboarding, track company engagement, and ensure that feedback loops get closed with appropriate partners and team members
  • Request quarterly financials and qualitative data (KPIs and company specific OKRs) from all portfolio companies and follow up on any not received
  • Track company progress (new product launches, news events, funding milestones) and assemble quarterly updates for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Summarize financial data for portfolio companies noting any large variances or concerning trends
  • Manage portfolio data and ensure accuracy of round information, forecasting and fund performance.

 

Investor Management

  • Assist with LP management, ensure records are up to date and ensure accuracy of legal documentation (transfer forms, joinders and W-9s)
  • Assist with formation and execution of LP newsletters

 

Cap Table Management

  • Stay current on all fundraising rounds for each portfolio company
  • Ensure cap tables in fund management software are up to date with the most recent rounds, checking investment documentation for accuracy
  • Confirm that SOIs are in line with cap tables

 

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of professional experience in finance working with early-stage technology companies as well as a bachelor's degree in finance or accounting. Fund administration experience is highly preferred.
