About Greentrade.Tech:

We are a climate tech startup building a B2B marketplace around Co2 Trading & Investment: We are transforming the Voluntary Carbon Market by introducing Spot & Future Trading of Carbon Credits: Through long-term offtake agreements with project developers (ERPAs), we’re securing future supply rights and turn them into digital investable assets (Tokens). By purchasing those access rights, buyers are supporting the realization of new projects while mitigating future price and access risk.

By turning carbon credits into an open, transparent and liquid asset, we create access to an estimated addressable market of US $50b by 2030.

 

Head of Business Development - Supply:

This is a leadership role in a purpose company that is tackling a multi-billion dollar market. You will be responsible for establishing new and grow existing relationships with project developers focused on removal and avoidance. You have the opportunity to combine your business knowledge with your passion for sustainability. Tasks / Where your expertise is needed

  • Responsible for creating new and grow existing relationships with project developers 
  • Develop Greentrade's supply strategy
  • Take on the commercial and operational responsibility for existing partners and optimize and scale them
  • Support Product by providing Feedback on partner’s needs 
  • Strategic decision-making: Be part of a purposeful entrepreneurship experience with high decision power across strategic topics


Requirements / What we are looking for

  • An academic degree, e.g. in business administration, technology, engineering or a comparable qualification
  • You have expert knowledge and several years of professional experience in the field of sustainability, relevant previous knowledge in areas such as project development of avoidance and reduction projects 
  • You have a strong customer focus and think products end-to-end
  • You have a structured and independent way of working and work very detail-oriented and carefully
  • You speak fluent English and German (Spanish is a plus)
  • Business oriented mindset and positive attitude, with the ability to work on multiple projects which will include effective prioritization and timely completion
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English 
  • Strategic thinking and hands-on knowledge of the latest technologies
  • Ideally based in Central Europe (Berlin is a plus) - Work can be done remotely. This is currently a part-time role (20+ hours per week), flexible around your schedule. This shall evolve into a full-time role once funding is secured. Being able to work European hours (part of the time) is ideal.

    After bootstrapping his first B2B delivery business, Ulf started working on and investing into projects that solve society's most pressing problems with the help of technology. With a strong operations background, Ulf uses his “Bob the builder” mentality to operationalize every step of the building process.

  • Carsten Hermann - Product:
    Serial Entrepreneur and Blockchain Evangelist: With a strong product and tech background, Carsten excels when building MVPs for fast product/market fit assessment.

  • Frederick Leuschner – Partnerships:
    A strategic leader of international technology, software, fintech and media organizations. Proven ability to start businesses from scratch, build multinational organizations in growth industries and create high performing teams that deliver results.
