Sunwealth offices are located in Cambridge’s Porter Square and New York City’s Financial District. We work on a hybrid schedule, ideally three (3) days per week in one of these offices.


The Community Solar Associate position is an incredible opportunity to get in at the ground floor of a rapidly growing part of the Sunwealth business. Sunwealth’s community solar program delivers financial savings and clean energy impact to thousands of low- and moderate-income individuals across the country, and that impact is expected to skyrocket in the next year. The Community Solar Associate will dive into exciting and challenging projects to help scale this business unit across marketing, sales, operations, and analysis verticals.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Support the Community Solar Manager in projects that will help scale the community solar business unit
  • Refine and expand the marketing and sales strategy based on rigorous research and analysis
  • Manage all customer outreach and relationship-building with an organized CRM mechanism
  • Maintain strong relationships with community partners and provide them with the tools and training to market our program to their populations
  • Attend and present at in-person and virtual events across Massachusetts to optimize our program awareness and customer enrollment
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to maintain a library of compelling marketing & sales collateral
  • Analyze and improve the customer experience from initial outreach through contracted enrollment
  • Research and implement software & automation to help scale our acquisition & management processes
  • Assist with customer support for active projects with the goal of optimizing customer experience and reducing customer churn
  • Identify under-performing community solar projects and analyze improvement opportunities

 

 

DESIRED TRAITS/QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • 1-3 years’ experience in marketing, sales, or customer success. Experience in the solar industry preferred but definitely not required
  • Strong communication, relationship-management, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment to help grow and manage a diverse pipeline of community organization partnerships
  • Proficient with Salesforce, Excel, and other data analysis tools
  • Quick learner with strong quantitative and qualitative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well with others under deadline situations and adapt to changes in priorities
  • Team player who recognizes learning opportunities and is ready to dive into complex projects with minimal guidance
