Amazon.com seeks a talented MBA intern to work within the company’s Corporate Development Finance organization. The person in this high visibility role will serve as a finance business partner to the Climate Pledge Fund (CPF) Corporate Development team. The role will help evaluate early stage investment opportunities that can help Amazon achieve our net-zero carbon goals. In addition, the person in this position may assist in due diligence efforts, conduct extensive research on industries, potential partners and competitors, and communicate findings and recommendations to our senior management and executive team.

This position plays a key, active role on a small team that drives corporate transactions across Amazon. This person will support the financial analyses that guide decision-making among senior business leaders and Corporate / Business Development teams. Many assignments will be highly ambiguous and require an independent, intellectually curious individual who can frame situations through multiple lenses including the end-customer, business owner and corporate finance professional.

THE CLIMATE PLEDGE FUND

The Climate Pledge Fund is a $2 billion venture investment program supporting the development of sustainable technologies and services that will enable Amazon to meet our net-zero carbon goal.

This position is based at Amazon’s headquarters in Seattle, WA.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree
• Currently enrolled in an MBA program as a first-year student
• 2+ years of investment banking, venture capital, private equity or corporate finance experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• High proficiency with valuation modeling and techniques
• Strong, demonstrated interest in climate and/or sustainability related technologies
• Fluency with Excel, Capital IQ, FactSet and PitchBook
• Excellent business judgment
• Advanced analytical skills
• Persuasive oral/written communication skills
