Your role

Are you passionate about Sustainable Finance? Do you have a track record of successfully managing client relationships? Are you able to create collaborative solutions in challenging and complex situations? We’re looking for a Carbon subject matter expert to:

• lead all aspects of carbon growth strategy (including regulatory and voluntary) with strategic partners and shaping go-to market strategy
• lead in the development of new carbon finance products and services and identify new revenue opportunities partnering with business partners market, originate and provide advise in relation to carbon projects
• work closely with UBS global carbon working group and key business stakeholders across the Investment Bank, Asset Management and Global Wealth management to support firms carbon offering, operating model and infrastructure
develop partnerships with external stakeholders
monitor developments in carbon markets
• support the UBS involvement and development of capabilities in decarbonization efforts leveraging carbon markets

Your team

You will be part of the Chief Sustainability Office (CSO) Carbon team based in London or Zurich. The CSO is responsible for driving the firms cross-divisional Net Zero transition roadmap in partnership with business stakeholders and alignment with the Group-wide sustainability initiatives.

Your expertise

• experience of carbon markets (ideally regulatory and voluntary)
• experience in assessing Carbon Offset project quality, conservation financing and environmental and biodiversity impact analysis
• prior experience in developing and structuring carbon products including nature based and technological carbon removal solutions
• familiarity with legal requirements pertaining to carbon product development and with international climate policy including Article 6, Paris Alignment, Kyoto Mechanisms
• established network in cooperating with non-governmental organization (NGO) and Conservation partners
• analytical skills and experience with financial and environmental modelling of carbon project developments
• ability to thrive in fast paced environment and entrepreneurial approach to work and strong team player skills
• ability to communicate effectively with senior management and senior stakeholders
