The Opportunity and Position Summary

We are growing our team and seeking an entrepreneurial Senior Marketing Director, Campaigns + Digital. This position reports to the Head of Communications and Brand.

The Senior Marketing Director, Campaigns + Digital is principally responsible for Rewiring America’s growth marketing, and optimizing content for distribution across our various channels. This person will expand the boundaries of our visibility and bring incredible ROI across a variety of platforms.

The Senior Marketing Director, Campaigns & Digital plays a pivotal role in expanding our constituencies, building knowledge and sharing our electrifying work and content with the world.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Work in close partnership with the Head of Communications and Brand to define Rewiring America’s growth strategy and how to resource ongoing strategies to catapult our audience reach, both online and offline.
  • Build and manage a diverse and high-performing team of digital marketers, spanning influencer engagement, email/SMS, paid, social and content channels.
  • Collaborate with creative teams to produce compelling, beautiful and optimized content assets for web, email, SMS, social and paid campaigns.
  • Set and manage all paid media budgets, including agency oversight where necessary.
  • Optimize Rewiring America’s content distribution for channel and audience, to ensure that we are at the forefront of the conversation for all things electrification.
  • Utilize current engagement platforms and emerging media spaces to establish a best-in-class acquisition, engagement and lifecycle management funnel, across a diverse community of constituents and electrification evangelists.
  • Bring a creative spark and appreciation for brand identity to everything you work on in order to disseminate content that captures Rewiring America’s unique voice in the climate conversation.
  • Measure what matters and provide strategic direction and execution to expand our reach and cultivate our audiences. Use a data-informed approach to take our marketing campaigns from good to great.

The Senior Marketing Director, Campaigns + Digital plays a critical role in the evolution of Rewiring America from its start-up phase to a more mature organization, and joins a team that operates with a sense of urgency and a track record of success across the fields of science, technology, business, policy and politics. The Senior Marketing Director, Campaigns + Digital must be able to build our channels with purpose; we don’t fill inboxes or post TikToks of Mr. Heat Pump without a good reason. We’re looking for someone who can see what will be important to our audiences and drive to that with acumen.

The selected candidate will also possess the following Core and Preferred qualifications:

 

Core

  • Experience building and managing high-performing, digital-first marketing teams.
  • Expertise in setting and executing on high-growth, cross-channel marketing. strategies, including budget, agency, content and personnel management.
  • Ability to marry message and measurement, with experience in optimizing for both brand love and digital growth.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of relevant nonprofit and/or political engagement best practices.
  • At least 7+ years of experience with growth marketing and analytics platforms.
  • At least 5+ years of experience managing acquisition and retention campaigns, across multiple channels and audience personas with multiple stakeholders.
  • At least 3+ years of experience hiring and managing high-performing teams.
  • A portfolio of work to demonstrate how you’ve communicated with others.

Preferred

  • Experience in a hyper-growth organization, campaign or company.
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience.
  • Content knowledge in climate, renewable energy and/or building electrification.
  • Basic HTML knowledge to troubleshoot email code.
  • Bonus: basic fluency in design programs and ability to generate graphics in a pinch.
  • Double bonus: Creative energy, enthusiasm for custom Slack emoji and a willingness to try new things always.

Benefits

The salary range for this position is $150,000-$190,000, commensurate with experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes 100% employer-paid health, dental, and vision insurance, an automatic 3% contribution and an up to 3% employer match on 401k contributions, pre-tax transportation benefits, and paid holidays, vacation, sick and volunteer time off.
