Profile:

An exciting and varied role, the Investor will work out of Piva’s San Francisco office, supporting the investment team. This individual is expected to be:

• Motivated and enthusiastic self-starter who works on own initiative with light supervision
• Confident and positive, high-enthusiasm and high-ambition, capable of easily interacting with investors and C-level executives 
• Detail-oriented with outstanding analytical and communication skills
• Flexible, low-ego, and willing to get involved with many different aspects of the business 
• Deeply curious and have a vision for a better world

Responsibilities:

• Perform market research to help identify new investment trends and opportunities
• Deal screening: call and/or meet with prospects, evaluate opportunities
• Network with peers in other Venture Capital Funds and Corporate Venture Capital Groups
• Perform Due Diligence:
• Gather information from the target company and industry experts
• Research and talk to existing references and customers
• Research potential competitors and competitive landscape
• Research and talk with technical and commercial experts to evaluate the target company’s technology and IP
• Perform valuation analysis and financial modelling
• Help preparing internal investment approval documents

Preferred Professional Background: 

• Unique and relevant domain expertise in technology, industrial and/or energy sector
• Broad understanding & exposure to industrial decarbonization technologies
• Strong command of Excel, including advanced functions
• Experience with cash flow modeling and investment valuation techniques
• Entrepreneurial and collaborative approach to work
• 2-5 years of relevant working experience preferred (venture capital, investment banking, private equity, strategic consulting)
• Graduate degree preferred
