ROLE:

SXD is seeking an experienced full stack developer to join our founding team. In this role, you will be the critical builder behind SXD’s mission of making zero waste the new fashion standard. You will lead the effort in turning our prototype into a packaged software that the most iconic fashion brands will use. You will partner closely with another engineering team member who has done groundbreaking work in the space of turning fashion design ideas into digitized blueprints for manufacturing. You will also work with 3D designers and fashion designers, as well as our network of advisors and partners to ensure that our product is built for the easiest adoption.

SXD combines design and tech to turn fabrics into zero waste products. The resulting zero waste designs consume less material, cost about 55% less to produce, and look better. SXD has been featured in publications such as Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, Women’s Wear Daily, Business of Fashion, Yahoo and InStyle. Harper’s Bazaar Japan named SXD a company Redefining the Fashion Ecosystem. SXD also became the first design oriented startup to win numerous prizes around the world, including Grand Prize at the Harvard Business School New Venture Competition.

REQUIRED:

• Python, C++ expertise
• GUI experience
• Back end, server side experience
• Architecture planning and security management experience
• AWS experience
• Experience building client-facing software products from scratch
• Experience working with an interdisciplinary team
• Obsession with quality and efficiency
• Love for impact oriented work

PREFERRED:

• Plugin or 3D software experience
• Love for sustainable products and aesthetic design

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

This position will start as a contractor role that will transform into a full-time position after one to two months if both the candidate and the SXD team agree to continue the work together. The full-time position includes a package with salary, early-hire equity, performance-based bonus, and benefits. Benefits include:
