By showing companies the business case for mitigating water risk, Waterplan accelerates the transition to a world where companies are incentivized to save more water, abate the discharge of polluting effluents, conserve watersheds, and preserve shared value.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Sales Development Representative to join the Revenue team at Waterplan.

You will work in a fully remote distributed team across multiple disciplines at a science-oriented company, hand in hand with Nicolás Wertheimer, Co-Founder and CSO at Waterplan.

About your core focus

We are looking for a Sales Development Representative in the US to join our rapidly expanding team and bring Waterplan to more companies. Every year, 30% more companies launch and report climate water resilience programs globally (Source: CDP Water Security). Your mission will be to qualify leads and create new solid opportunities for the sales team. You will research prospects and identify target contacts such as global water corporate champions that aim to accelerate the water transition using technology and help us scale this passionate team. 

 You will: 

  • Collaborate and execute Waterplan’s Demand Generation strategy

  • Develop new business leads and enhance existing relationships.

  • Utilize prospecting and research tools, coordinate with assigned reps to qualify opportunities; prepare for and book meetings with target prospects. 

  • Scrubbing and augmentation of leads.- build new sales opportunities through creative outbound tactics. 

  • Maintain nurturing communications with established leads, conduct Discoveries Calls for New Open Deals

  • Ensure each lead is well qualified and understand the stage to transfer solid opportunities to the sales team

  • Manage and maintain a robust CRM. Keep an organized pipeline and follow up prospects via phone or email

  • Represent the company with a high degree of integrity and professionalism

 Skills and Qualifications

  • Be a proactive team player to help expand our network

  • Proven success from previous B2B SaaS SDR experience. 

  • You have outstanding and innovative outbound prospecting, email/phone/cold calls skills, and can sympathize with our potential users.

  • Skilled communicator. Passionate about the environment and water. 

  • A naturally born team player, you pride yourself with having a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. You are attentive to details and able to adapt to a faced paced environment

  • Excited about the early days of a startup, learning from prospects and leads, informing product strategy, refining the sales playbook, and thinking of innovative ways to tell the Waterplan story. 

  • Be located in the US or Argentina

Nice to have skills

  • Previous utilized these tools: Hubspot, Gong, LinkedIn 

  • Spanish is a plus

  • Previous experience in the Climate-Tech Space
