About the Role
Our Visiting Partner Program is a 1-2 year position, either part-time or full-time, with the opportunity to become an Investment Partner at Gigascale.
This role is for experienced executives passionate about climate solutions who want to explore early-stage investing. Working with the Investment Team, you’ll gain skills in sourcing, diligence, and executing new investments. You’ll also have the opportunity to advise our portfolio founders on all aspects of scaling technology and company building. Hardware experience is a plus.
Your Responsibilities
- Learn the investment process end to end, including sourcing, evaluating, and closing investment opportunities
- Participate in developing new investment theses and advocate for investments
- Act as a thought partner and advisor to Gigascale portfolio companies across all aspects of company building (fundraising, GTM, hiring, product-market fit, fundraising prep, etc.)
- Show up as a creative, innovative, and world-class partner to our companies
- Establish and nurture relationships across the climate ecosystem, including with founders, scientists, other investors, and thought leaders
- Embody Gigascale’s values of speed, thoughtfulness, conviction, directness, and being the most helpful partner to founders
Your Qualifications
- 10+ years of operating experience, including executive roles, at a company in relevant climate tech fields
- Strong alignment with Gigascale’s focus on supporting founders in scaling solutions for gigaton and gigawatt impact
- A combination of intellectual curiosity, resourcefulness, and a genuine passion for supporting founders and building teams
- Exceptional interpersonal skills that enable you to build great relationships with founders and other partners
