Location: We are open to candidates working from anywhere in the US, but prefer candidates based near Oakland, CA. We currently are a remote-first team, with the Bay Area team heading into our Oakland office two days a week.

Powerhouse Ventures is hiring an Executive Administrator & Operations Associate to serve as a key member of our team. By providing critical support across administrative, operational, event, and marketing initiatives, this role will enable the continued efficiency and growth of Powerhouse Ventures. This role is ideal for a climate-passionate, highly-organized, detail-oriented, proactive individual who is an excellent communicator and who is excited to spearhead multiple important projects and priorities across the fund. The Operations Associate will work directly with the senior leadership at Powerhouse Ventures as well as with founders, Limited Partners (LPs), other investors, and more as part of the Powerhouse Ventures ecosystem.
This role will not be involved in investment decisions, but will support the team across key areas.
Executive Support (estimated 60% of time)
Provide executive support with inbox management, scheduling, travel, and more
Support Managing Partner speaking engagements
Operations (estimated 40% of time)
Lead event planning and logistics for quarterly events, annual LP meeting, and more
Lead on monthly and quarterly reporting for LPs, as well as annual impact reporting
Support the design of key materials for internal and external stakeholders
Support on marketing and communications initiatives
Lead the conference and event attendance strategy
Manage invoice payments and bank accounts
Support on various strategic projects for the fund
Support on various operations initiatives for the fund
Other duties as assigned
Experience
Either:
A Bachelor’s Degree and at least 2 years of relevant full-time experience
8+ years of relevant full-time experience
Preferred experience supporting marketing and communication materials
Preferred experience with event planning and event logistics
Demonstrated skills
Extremely organized and detail-oriented
Excellent communication skills and high EQ
Ability to work autonomously and proactively
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment on a small team
Ability to manage multiple, high-priority projects and work streams
Passion for working in climate tech
The target salary range for this position is $70K-$80K, with the potential to be higher for a highly experienced candidate with an exceptional skill set.
