ABOUT THE ROLE

 

We’re looking for an experienced Director of Sales & Business Development to join our team and lead the B2B sales efforts for our PREDICT AI forecasting product. You will identify, implement, and drive B2B sales for our PREDICT software solution for the European Market.

 

Tigo Energy, a leading provider of intelligent solar and energy storage solutions acquired FSIGHT, an energy data analytics software company based in Hod HaSharon, Israel. With FSIGHT, Tigo expands its ability to leverage energy consumption and production data for solar energy producers, adding a powerful prediction platform that provides rich and actionable system performance data, from the grid down to the module level.

 

WHAT TYPE OF CANDIDATE SHOULD APPLY

  • Previous experience launching a new business unit from scratch
  • Relevant energy industry experience working with decision makers
  • Driven Business Development professional
  • Experience with green and renewable energy organizations
  • Energetic, passionate, and relatable presenter who can effectively describe complicated ideas to different audiences
  • A champion of the customer
  • Willing to travel to customers 60-70%

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Strategically drive sales initiatives for our PREDICT forecasting product to energy customers (IPPs, energy retailers, grid operators, utilities)
  • Drive cross-selling and upselling as well as entering new markets and customer segments
  • Develop market-, region-, and customer-specific sales strategies and manage and own the PREDICT sales funnel for international growth
  • Establish distribution partnerships with software companies, integrators and energy consultants
  • Clearly communicate PREDICT’s vision, value proposition and key differentiators to C-level customers
  • Work closely with the marketing team to provide information materials to distributors, agents and customers
  • Coordination and participation in international trade shows to drive brand awareness and deliver sales targets
  • Lead the organization of customer events (demo days, webinars etc.)

 

WHAT WE WOULD LIKE TO SEE

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience selling software to energy utility customers (SaaS / Cloud) in Europe
  • Proven ability to win complex software deals with senior decision makers
  • Proven track record of success in selling to energy players
  • Experience with selling ML/AI products - a plus
  • A true ‘software native’ with an ambitious sales attitude - closing new deals is your drive and passion
  • Deep knowledge of the ever changing energy markets
  • Team player and relationship oriented person – it’s all about people, about relationships, trust, confidence and chemistry
  • Ability to travel - domestic & international
  • Strong ability to multitask in a fast-paced, startup environment
  • Self-motivated, business-driven and passionate about supporting Fsight as a disruptor in the energy industry
  • Fluent in English - even better if you also speak German/Spanish/Italian
