About this Position:

Developing and executing product and business strategy in a world of rapid technological and social change requires a highly capable, highly knowledgeable, and highly engaged team. American Honda’s Sustainability & Business Development (SBD) business unit (BU) is tasked with navigating the business and technology application path for Honda's future renewable energy, resource circulation and innovative business initiative products, services, and businesses. Our focus is to establish an ecosystem of hardware, software, and renewable energy that achieves these goals by focusing on real-world user experiences. By providing solutions to users that are intuitive, generate value for users in terms of time savings, money savings, and enriching their lives we can expand and deepen our relationship with each customer. The team will focus on building and sustaining Honda's core brand values and enhancing brand image and competitiveness in the marketplace by innovating, incubating, selecting, developing, applying, and operating new businesses, features, products, and services with responsibility for their profitability, competitiveness, and customer satisfaction for Honda in North America. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Energy Business Operations Analyst ensures all assigned programs in-market are operating at levels meeting customer needs. The associate provides monthly and ad hoc reporting to stakeholders and is considered the expert in the product's operation.  The associate will collect market data, organize and analyze the data, and clearly identify the market quality trend. Utilizing market data, the associate must provide direction to the development and operations team for quick fix resolution to minimize customer impact. The Operations Analyst will also lead, propose, implement and be accountable for market action, including coordination, communication and success.
  • Utilizing the understanding of customer needs and contract terms, will create and manage operational procedures. Upon creation of the procedures, the associate must ensure proper implementation, operations and measure the effectiveness. Must propose improvements in process to continue improvement of efficiency in operation.
  • Coordinate with internal customers and third party service providers to resolve program issues. This includes research to completely understand the issue, creating a actionable resolution through analysis of various options, and obtaining approval for action. The associate must ensure adherence to the plan by all stakeholders, as well as obtain legal, regulator clearance and manage budget spending.
  • Through identifying and understanding the market quality issues, contribute and act as the voice of customer to ensure changes are made for future products and operational procedures. This associate must act as a leader of change management projects and process.
  • Responsible for financial success of the assigned program. Working with the Financial Analyst, ensure all appropriate actions are taken to meet assigned goals and also ensure financial operations are in order.

Additional Position Factors:

  • OT necessary to complete task deadline for Quality Reporting
  • Travel may be necessary for training & meeting with other Mfg. facilities

Who we are seeking:

  • BA/BS in engineering, marketing, market research, business or equivalent work experience.

Required Work Experience:

  • 3+ years of Deep understanding of customer technology and customer solutions

 

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with energy-related discipline or EV Charging a Plus
  • Strong research, technical writing, communication and presentation skills
  • Strong program and project management experience
  • Excellent analysis skills
  • Ability to think big picture and out of the box
  • Experience in presenting at executive level meetings
  • Honda specific knowledge across all product lines (Preferred)
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office is required, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Strong presenter with Ability To Present To all levels of management and executives.
  • Excellent teamwork skills for both NA and GO offices and employees
  • Driver’s License required and ability to operate a diverse assortment of automobiles.  Proficiency with manual transmission preferred but not required.
  • Function in an Agile Project team.
