We believe in the value of diversity

We are small today but we have big beliefs about the future of work, shaped by our experience as founders from typically underrepresented backgrounds. 🔮 The job brief

Infyos is looking for our first sales role with responsibility across the whole sales cycle to speed up and improve how we get more battery players onto our platform and improving their sustainability.

You will be ideal for the role if you can :

  • Take a proactive approach to taking initiative and ownership - it’s startup life and everyone’s got a lot on their plate. You’ll thrive if you can drive us forward and be two steps ahead
  • Be an individual contributor and a team player - we’re a small but fast growing team and so you should be able to work amazingly to hit your own targets but always in service of getting the whole team to where we need to go
  • Excel at strong communication and relationship management - the pace of our growth and the nature of the role means you’ll be constantly meeting all sorts of new people, from CEOs of the worlds largest automotive companies to people working at NGOs on the ground in the DRC
  • Have curiosity and an ability to learn at speed - we don’t expect you to be an expert in ESG, regulations and batteries but we want to see your track record in skilling yourself up on complex topics and see your passion for understanding how battery and clean tech supply chain players can create sustainable supply chains
  • Be coachable - we believe there’s always more to learn and everyone can always get better so you should be comfortable being challenged and nurtured to grow
  • Have a passion for impact - our mission is to build a future where every battery is sustainable and we’ve got a team of people on board who care about making that happen

Ideal experience:

  • Experience in mid-market and/or enterprise sales and closing complex deals of £100k+ ARR
  • Having worked in a startup or high growth environment and willing to get hands dirty and experiment
  • 3+ years experience in software business development roles and ready to take on the opportunity and responsibility of being our first sales hire

Bonus points:

  • Understanding of key sustainability topics, batteries and automotive industry

⚙️ The role

  • You’ll be the right hand to our CEO to drive our sales process, ensuring we are proactively managing our leads and prospects in a timely manner through each stage of our buyer journey and sales pipeline.
  • Contributing to sales discussions, pitches and meetings. Being confident in leading multiple communication touch points with prospects and customers, including calls, emails and product demos.
  • Developing our approach to objection handling, storytelling and prospecting. Understanding the buying signals and what messaging resonates.
  • Building excellent rapport with our prospects and customers. Leading through knowledge and expertise. Helping them to understand where they are and where they need to go on their sustainability journey.
  • Preparing for engaging and effective meetings by creating agendas, presentations, materials, proposals, summaries and next steps.
  • Coordinating and collaborating with the team to build our industry thought leadership and lead generation through speaking at events, articles, white-papers and regular newsletter
  • Managing the information, contacts, data and notes within our CRM (HubSpot), ensuring our prospects are kept up to date and our pipeline and forecasting is accurate and reliable.
  • Occasionally getting stuck into ad-hoc growth tasks that come with being a small and fast growing startup where we’re all wearing more than one hat
  • We believe success in this role will be working closely with our CEO Sarah to close the next 5-10 customer deals and gradually owning more of the sales activities and responsibilities around building a team and owning budget

💻 How you’d work:

  • Our office philosophy is to prioritise outcome and results over rigid rules on how and where you work
  • For this role we think some in-person time is important so we’d like you to be hybrid - this roughly means you’re willing to come into the London office when there’s stuff going on (typically 2-3 days per week), you’re able to travel to customers and events when needed (typically once a month) and depending on how you work best then the rest of your work time can be from home, office or somewhere else with decent internet connection
  • If you occasionally want to work remotely for a short time then we can be flexible on a case by case basis
  • We also have a team day once a month from our London HQ & quarterly offsite events where everyone comes together

🧩 The interview process

We want to make sure our process gives you and us a meaningful insight into what it would be like working together. To be transparent about our hiring process, here’s the plan we aim to complete in 2-3 weeks:

  • ☎️ Initial phone call - video call (30 min)
  • The goal of this call is to give you as much context about the role and Infyos as possible and learn about your motivations and who you are as a person.
  • We’ll go through our background and gain an understanding of your experience.
  • 📖 Technical exercise (offline) + video call (45 min)
  • We’ll provide you with an assignment to be completed on your own time. We will then schedule 30 minutes to discuss the test, of which the first 10-15 minutes will be a presentation from you followed by a Q&A. The goal is to understand how you work, solve problems and reason. You’ll also get an opportunity to learn about the type of work you’ll be doing.
  • 🫖 Meet the founders - in person or video call (30 min)
  • This is the stage with the decision makers of the process. We’ll look to understand your aspirations, values and drive. We’ll also answer any questions you have or topics you want to discuss.
  • 👨‍👩‍👦 Meet the team - video call (30 min)
  • This is the final stage and a chance for you to get know some of the team, learn more about Infyos behind the scenes and ask more burning questions.

🌍 The full package at Infyos

  • Competitive salary + performance based bonus + generous share options dependant on experience
  • 30 days holidays + UK bank holidays
  • Extended maternity and paternity package
  • £500 annual personal development budget
  • Hybrid role to allow for the flexibility of life and use of our office in Clerkenwell
  • Laptop (if required)
  • Team day once a month from our London HQ & quarterly offsite events
