Your role will be to develop highly energy efficient electronics and sensors for our next generation solar powered robotics platform. You will own the electrical engineering systems. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner with the ability to understand complex systems, and have a creative approach to problem solving.

Responsibilities:
- Lead embedded electronics development for our autonomous robotics platform
- Ownership of front end electronics from alpha to production
- PCB design including processor and component selection - Work closely with other team-members on sensor selection and integration
- Maintain high standards through design reviews, fault analysis, and creative innovation
Requirements:
- Collaborative, high integrity, and humble
- Highly detailed, good communicator, and results oriented
- Familiarity with common embedded system interfaces and protocols
- Experience developing electronics for commercial products
- Experience with embedded robotics systems
- Experience testing and validating embedded firmware electronics
Indicators of good fit:
- Experience with low power communication and embedded robotics systems
- Robotics development background
- Schematic and PCB layout design experience with Altium
- MS in electrical engineering or equivalent
Expectations:
- We’re a start-up, so we all need to wear a lot of hats! This means you’ll probably do a lot of things you’ve never done before, and probably learn some new things too
- Willing to make major contributions at an individual engineering level where needed. Especially early on
- Occasional on-site visits for testing
