In the Marketing Manager role, you will be responsible for marketing strategy, planning, execution, and measurement across multiple channels including email, and social. You will also be expected to collaborate effectively and cross-functionally with internal and external (contract and vendors) product, design, and engineering teams. As Lightship’s second member of the marketing team, you will collaborate with and report to the Head of Marketing.
 
Our ideal fit will be a marketer who straddles the creative and analytical worlds with a background in social, content, and/or events, and who is excited about our mission to bring electrification to new demographics and new demographics to the recreational vehicle industry. You’re a self-starter who loves a good challenge to get yourself unstuck with creative solutions but also knows how to ask for help and support when needed.
 
This is an incredibly exciting and foundational time for Lightship and you will be integral to helping us launch our first product – an all-electric, beautifully designed, and seamlessly-integrated travel trailer built for the electric age – to the world.

Responsibliities

  • Own and manage Lightship’s social media accounts (Linkedin, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Tik Tok) – including strategy, day-to-day management, and results. This includes content planning to ensure the content aligns with our content pillars and brand guidelines,  managing the content calendar, and day-to-day management.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with influencers and content creators 
  • Own and manage Lightship’s Email communications – including email marketing, content scheduling, segmentation strategy, and flow optimizations
  • Own Lighthip’s blog – writing or editing (if working with other writers) blog content, formatting and uploading content into the website.
  • In collaboration with the Head of Marketing and external vendors/events agencies, coordinate, plan, and execute events and activations
  • In collaboration with the Head of Marketing and Head of Creative, brainstorm new, creative approaches to content that will help build a strong community and brand awareness. You will directly shape our content trajectory and strategy
  • Analyze weekly and monthly performance across our marketing channels at various levels of detail, report on and communicate meaningful insights to the team and senior leadership
  • Ability to travel to events

Prior Experience & Professional Qualities

  • A passion for the outdoors, travel, and/or electrification
  • 5+ years of experience managing social media, content, events, acquisition, lifecycle, or other marketing programs
  • A great eye for visual design – and experiencing working with templates in a program like Canva or photoshop
  • Social media management – experience creating engaging content and building and growing communities across social media including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok
  • Experience with influencer/creator management and relationship-building
  • Knowledgeable in digital and performance marketing metrics including - social media KPIs, email marketing KPIs, and website KPIs
  • Experiencing planning events of various sizes – from tradeshows to intimate gatherings
  • Extraordinary attention to detail, formatting, brand tone, and style guidelines
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to manage multiple project timelines seamlessly with little oversight
  • Experience editing and managing content through WordPress or similar CMS
  • Experience using Google Analytics, Tableau, or similar analytics tools
  • Experience using Mailchimp, Marketo, Klaviyo, or similar ESPs
  • Excited to join a startup at a very exciting and integral time for the company

Preferred Skills

  • Experience using Salesforce
  • Advanced graphic design knowledge and expertise
  • EV, tech, and/or startup experience a plus

Compensation Range

  • $90,000 - $120,000
