Position Overview: 

We are hiring a Finance Lead to drive excellence in all aspects of Pacific Fusion’s financial matters. This role requires a strategic thinker who can not only manage day-to-day financial operations but also contribute to the overall financial strategy of the company. If you bring operational finance experience, experience building (and improving) processes in a rapidly growing company, and a passion for applying those skills to tackle the climate crisis, we would love to hear from you. 

Responsibilities:  

• Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A):
  • Work closely with the Head of Operations on budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling processes
  • Analyze financial performance, providing regular reports to the leadership team
• Financial Operations:
  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable 
  • Work closely with the Head of Operations, Technical Operations Lead and the company’s accountants to deliver timely and accurate financial reports to investors 
  • Implement and maintain robust financial systems and controls
• Cash Flow Management:
  • Manage and optimize cash flow, ensuring liquidity for operational needs
  • Implement strategies to enhance working capital efficiency
• Audit and Compliance:
  • Coordinate external audits and ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations
  • Stay informed about changes in financial laws and regulations, implementing necessary adjustments

Qualifications: 

• Extensive operational finance experience, preferably within a startup or high-growth environment
• Proficiency with financial software and tools 
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field, or equivalent work experience; relevant certification (e.g. CPA) is a plus 
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
