Job Description: We are hiring a Senior Associate to join our investment team to primarily focus on Seed stage opportunities for the firm. This individual should have a technical skillset and mindset, paired with the capability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of people both internally and externally. The successful candidate will be a smart, resourceful, outgoing, self-starter with a proven ability to proactively find and attract the best investment opportunities globally. In addition to deal sourcing and diligence, the Senior Associate will also be expected to support and provide value to our portfolio companies and strategic limited partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Deal Sourcing: Leverage existing network and establish new relationships with founders/CEOs, investors and industry experts. Know how to identify winning technology & teams
  • Due Diligence: Prepare thoughtful and rigorous analysis of prospective fund investments, including sector, financial, founder analysis
  • Portfolio Company Support: Share sector insights, competitive analysis, facilitate strategic introductions to potential customers, investors and new hires. Prepare for Board meetings. Drafting of investment memos
  • LP Coverage: Assist in creating mutual value chains with our corporate limited partner base

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated passion for entrepreneurship and early-stage startups in non-traditional technology sectors like industrials, supply chain, logistics, energy, climate, transportation, built environment, and other real world markets. Minimum of 5-8 years of prior work experience in venture capital and/or a former Founder, Product, Strategy, BizOps at high growth startup
  • Bachelors Degree and preferably MBA from a top-tier institution with a finance or technical degree
  • Must demonstrate a high-level of achievement in terms of cultivating a robust network, deal origination, analytical skills, and organization
  • Ability to identify competitive deals with basic understanding of venture financing and term sheet construction
  • Extensive contacts in the startup and/or venture capital space
  • Technical skillset, emotional intelligence and a demonstrated passion for networking and discovering new startups
  • Displays deep curiosity for impacting climate change, manufacturing, mobility and frontline work through innovation
  • Key attributes: Extremely detail and process-oriented, organized, funny, humble, high EQ, kind, competitive, and a team-first attitude

Partner Track: Multi-year Senior Associate role with possibility of promotion based on individual performance and future fund plans; not a guaranteed Partner track role

Compensation: Competitive salary and carry with annual bonus based on performance

Target Start Date: Immediate (no later than May 2024)
