This includes pioneering some of the first solar PV cells and scaling organizations from a mere 5 to 35,000 employees.

We invest in hard tech companies from Pre-Seed to Series A, embrace scientific and technical challenges, and actively support fast-growing operations. We believe in running at the hard problems, learning quickly, and helping our founders get stuff done. Areas of interest include decarbonizing food & agriculture, industry, energy, transportation, materials, and the built environment.

Gigascale’s Summer Fellowship will immerse you in the world of climate tech investing. Our fellowship is for MBA students between their first and second year who have demonstrated strong interest in working in climate.

At Gigascale, we all roll up our sleeves and dig in. Your responsibilities will include:

New investments

• Participate in every aspect of due diligence, including reference calls, market analyses, competitive analyses, and technical deep dives

• Attend pitch meetings

• Assist in identifying and sourcing new opportunities

• Participate in internal discussions on investment decisions

Portfolio support

• Work directly with our existing portfolio companies on various special projects (e.g., market sizing, pricing analysis, GTM strategy)

Thesis building

• Identify interesting companies and emerging technologies in an area of interest and expertise

• Identify and cultivate relationships with relevant market experts and entrepreneurs

• Summarize findings in a written research report and educate our broader team

Summer Fellows will be an active member of our investment team, participating in internal and external meetings on a day-to-day basis.

This is a full-time in-person 10 week opportunity from June through August of 2024. Our office is in downtown Palo Alto, CA. This is a compensated position. Fellows will earn approximately $8k a month.
