Sealed is taking action in the residential energy efficiency and electrification space by eliminating the frictions between ambitious climate policy programs and 100 million US homes which need to be upgraded. We build software which helps HVAC, electrical, and plumbing professionals identify and distribute billions of dollars of energy efficiency incentives to homeowners.
We are looking for an outstanding Product Manager (PM) who wants to work on pragmatic solutions to real day-to-day challenges faced by our customers, who are contractors in the field. As a PM at Sealed, you'll have the unique opportunity to ship features to our proprietary software within weeks of developing new hypotheses about our users’ biggest challenges. The data we collect will be on the cutting edge and one of the most comprehensive views of residential energy efficiency, which is a key to achieving our climate goals. As a member of our Product & Engineering team, you'll also be instrumental in shaping our culture and practices.
We are looking for a “utility” player who can cover several important areas of product development: requirements, testing and analytics. This will give you the opportunity to stretch in several directions and work with stakeholders across the company, including senior leadership.
The major areas you’ll cover:
- Product Requirements
- Write Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) to guide the software development activities of our Engineering team
- Partner with our Engineering and Design team to shape the strategy, architecture and UI of the product
- Collaborate closely throughout the organization on all features / projects to ensure the requirements are clear and complete, and that each new feature has a strong QA testing plan
- Product Testing
- Support each software release with QA testing, and write and execute well on each test plan
- Ensure each release is prepared for seamless customer adoption
- Partner with the Revenue team to ensure our customers are properly trained / educated on new features and functionality
- Conduct usability testing of our software with our customers to gather insights on their behavior and practices
- Product Analytics
- Ensure our products have proper tracking and attribution necessary to measure performance
- Work closely with our data team to create and manage our product analytics dashboards
- Draw conclusions from the data and develop suggestions for actions we can take to improve the product
You may be a good fit if...
- You are excited to work in a start-up environment where you can wear many hats, and build a new software product in a new industry with constant opportunities to learn from user feedback and solve the next challenge
- You have strong technical chops, but are also product- and user-focused
- You have 2-5 years of experience in product or engineering, with some exposure to early stage and high-growth environments. This is not an entry level product position, but we are open to someone earlier in their career with the right mix of experience and ambition
- You have worked in agile software development environments with an excellent track record of shipping product that creates significant value for customers and the business
- You have strong communication and collaboration skills
- Bonus, you also have:
- Familiarity with SQL and working in different analytics / BI platforms
- Familiarity with B2B software / Saas products
- Built software for small business customers and internal users
- An interest in working in the climate-tech space

The budgeted compensation amount for this role is targeted at $95,000 - $135,000.
